As many of you may know, in 2007 the church purchased over 300 acres of land surrounding our Creighton Campus. What few of you may know is that included in that purchase was a historic home called Enerdale

Enerdale was built in 1852 and is listed by the Virginia Historical Society as a historic home for its role in the Civil War. Once occupied by Confederate soldiers during the war, shells and a 20 pound shot from the Battle of Cold Harbor have been found in the yard. The house is a full two-story structure set on an English basement. Detailed with original decorative features including a fine Greek revival porch with Doric columns, the house is in need of repair and stabilization.

When the land was under contract with Atlantic Homes, Enerdale was slated to be renovated and expanded to become the community center for the planned neighborhood. As we anticipate the construction of our own City of Possibility, we see Enerdale being transformed into a place of peace, hope and love. We need your prayers and support to do that.

You can help by:

  1. Making a $10 donation now by texting PEACE to 85944. (Standard text messaging rates may apply). Your donation will be used to stabilize the existing structure as well as seed the historic renovation by funding an architect to begin developing plans.
  2. Signing up to serve with a small group on the renovation. Persons with experience in restoring historic buildings are especially encouraged to sign up.
  3. Praying about this project and for the small group that will come forth to support it.
