An initiative of the Saint Paul's Baptist Church

The Renaissance Academy for the Performing Arts (RAPA) seeks to develop youth in K-12th grades who impact other individuals, the family, the community and the world, utilizing the performing arts as their instrument.

Developing talent and character, harnessing passion,

impacting our community

From the novice to the more experienced artist, RAPA provides youth in the Greater Richmond Area opportunities to increase their proficiency and mastery in various arts disciplines while forming the character of a self- aware, assured and expressive leader.

Our talented and motivated artists grow in their abilities and knowledge of their craft while gaining confidence and tools to positively impact the world around them.

A Community Transformed

RAPA’s mission is to develop youth as performing artists, who use their moral compass and wisdom to know and to do what is appropriate, decent and exemplary.

Participants are equipped with the tools needed to be leaders in their communities of influence.  As a result, we will witness a community transformed through the performing arts:

·    Participants gain awareness of their self through effective self-expression and self-discovery as they assess and apply their gifts and talents.

·    Families will be exposed to diverse cultures through presentations, special events and student artifacts.

·    Communities will have increased awareness, exposure and understanding of the relevance of the performing arts.
